What I’m Watching in Quarantine

Hello! I hope everyone’s doing all right! Today I’ll be writing about what I’ve been watching to get through self-isolation. Hopefully there’s at least one new recommendation for you in this list, but it’s honestly what I’ve been gravitating towards lately… so it may be a bit basic.

Lucy Moon

Lucy Moon is one of my all-time favorite YouTubers, and her COVID content has been as soothing and relaxing as ever. She makes chatty lifestyle videos ranging across topics such as beauty, fashion, food, and just being a 20 something in London. I’ve always found her videos to be calming, so I’m enjoying my fix of “grounding” during this uncertain time.

Rowena Tsai

Rowena’s another YouTuber who is absolutely popping OFF during quarantine. Her videos have helped me establish a sense of control and balance during the Stay at Home mandates. She’s a well-read, productivity genius who backs all of her videos up with quotes and excerpts from various books– so you know her thoughts are coming from an informed place. In general, she brings an attitude of positivity to the current situation, and I would highly recommend checking out her channel for a bit of inspiration.

James Hoffman

Since being stuck inside, I’ve gotten into stepping up my coffee game, and James Hoffman’s videos about coffee have proved very helpful in this endeavor. Not only are his videos incredibly informative, but there’s something very soothing about them as well. It honestly might just be his accent, but his content is therapeutic— I swear.

Elena Taber

Another YouTuber that’s been an all-time favorite for a few years now– Elena is a lifestyle vlogger who focuses on wellness, travel, and living life to the fullest. I love her skater-surfer girl aesthetic and all the groovy music she pairs with her vlogs, and watching any of her videos is a guaranteed transportation out of your bedroom and into an indie music video. 10/10 would recommend.

New Girl

This one’s not a YouTube channel, but I’ve been watching a lot of New Girl on Netflix during quarantine. I love a good sitcom (I’m wearing a Friends t-shirt as I write this), so needless to say I’ve watched quite a few. New Girl is HIGH on my list of favorite sitcoms. The writing is so witty and the characters are so individual and lovable. Please watch New Girl if you haven’t yet, and if you have, let’s chat ūüėČ

And that completes my list of things I’m currently watching! Let me know which TV shows, movies, or YouTubers you’re particularly enjoying right now.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing! I haven’t heard of them but they’re the type of YouTubers that I am looking for. I’ll definitely check them out. I am currently watching Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix. Her way of tidying is interesting and I would also recommend Lavendaire on youtube. She’s very inspiring and she focuses on lifestyle design and personal growth.

    1. I LOVE Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. It’s so motivating and definitely a super effective way of understanding what’s worth keeping and what’s not. I love the whole idea of disconnecting unnecessary emotions and memories from material things. Thanks for reading! ‚̧
